What do you do if you've planned the perfect wedding with tons of great outdoor wedding photo locations, and mother nature decides to bless the day with lots of rain? You pack an umbrella, and a wedding photographer who doesn't mind getting wet!
Jamison Wexler often says that he gets some of his most iconic images on days that the weather doesn't cooperate. And in Boston, the weather is uncooperative a LOT! In the case of this beautiful wedding, a service at First Parish Church in Groton Massachusetts, was followed by a ride in a vintage Rolls Royce by the happy newlyweds, through the rain to a series of pre-planned destinations that were meaningful to the bride and groom. This lakeside spot provided a dramatic backdrop for Jamison to set up a light and create an image inspired by "The Singing Butler", a famous painting by Jack Vettriano. While the chauffer posed as the butler for other photos in this series, Jamison liked this shot in particular because it captured the joy that the couple felt despite the less than ideal conditions.
The joyful day became a super fun night, as Jamison and the couple made their way to The Groton Inn for an amazing reception.
