In the 12 years that I’ve lived in Massachusetts, I can’t remember a more rainy June.  It seems like the only sunny day in recent memory was Saturday, June 13th…just in time for Laurie and Josh’s wedding!

I began the day at Laurie’s parents’ home, where the activity was buzzing as bridesmaids (in matching tank tops with their job descriptions proudly emblazoned in rhinestones) had their makeup done, flowers came, and neighbors and family members dropped in to wish the soon-to-be Mrs. well.  It didn’t take long, however, for everyone to be made-up, dressed, and ready.  After a few photos at the house, they all loaded up into a stretch Porsche limo and headed off to the church.

Guests were already filing in and filling up the pews when we arrived at the West Medford Congregational Church.  It was a beautiful ceremony with not a dry eye in the house.  After Laurie and Josh made their vows, and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, their guests all paused to hug them and wish them well.  The church was beautiful old stone, so we took a few minutes to capture some photos around the building.

Then it was off to the Hillview Country Club in North Reading, MA.  When we arrived, all of the family was already assembled for photos.  After sailing through the family photos we were off to the party.  Ohh the food, the dancing, the love…and in the midst of it all, I stole the bride and groom away for a few minutes to take advantage of a few of the lesser photographed areas of the country club for some fun night-time portraits!  Before anyone had a chance to notice, however, we were back in the middle of the action.
