Alison & John (September 13, 2008)
Indian summer held on for another week to grace Alison and John with perfect wedding day. We began the day at the Marriott in Quincy. When I arrived at Alison’s room, I was immediately greeted by a whirlwind of excitement as she and her 8 gorgeous bridesmaids took their turns in the hair and makeup chairs. When everyone was made up, and Alison was begarbed in her lovely dress and gold Jimmy Choo shoes, we took some time to capture a few bridal portraits on the way to the limos waiting down stairs. Then it was off to St Anne’s in Somerville for the beautiful ceremony.
Once the “I do’s” were said, and the guests greeted at the church doors, we all headed to Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy to prepare for the party. Granite Links is in a beautiful location, with the ballroom overlooking an awesome view of the Boston skyline, but one of the coolest things about it is the stone ruins at the bottom of the hill…and that’s where we decided to go for the portraits of the newlyweds. Amongst the crumbling stone walls, Alison and John climbed and balanced, and fought the high grass and brambles as we took full advantage of the unique location.
Then it was back up to the ballroom where the sun set over the Boston skyline as everyone ate, and danced, and smoked hand rolled cigars, and toasted the perfect day and the beautiful couple.
